Butchers Hill

Butchers Hill in Southeast Baltimore is an architecturally diverse rowhome neighborhood dating back to the 1850's. Larger homes on east-west streets, medium-sized homes on north-south streets and small homes on alley streets originally allowed the neighborhood to serve a range of incomes and professions. Many butchers lived above their shops, thus leading to the name, Butchers Hill. Residents enjoy quiet streets in proximity to the amenities of Patterson Park, a neighborhood K-8 school and a few restaurants, while being walking distance from the many establishments available in neighboring Fells Point and Canton.
