- 18 public parks and trails, that’s approximately 6,000 acres of parkland, trails, and public space! Take a peaceful walk in the woods on the back roads of Druid Hill Park, sit quietly and watch birds by the lake at Patterson Park, or play a relaxing round of golf in Clifton, Carroll, and Forest parks. Additionally, the smaller community parks provide areas to meet and greet your neighbors.
- 31 recreation centers and eight after school centers, each offering children, adults, and seniors endless opportunities to participate in athletic events or just relax with good company. Whether you’re interested in sports, theater, cooking, or even weight training, The Department of Recreation & Parks has something for you.
- 12 recreational facilities ranging from skateboarding, studying plant species, boating, and much more!
- 28 swim facilities, offering the public a chance to get active and escape the summer. Swim lessons and CPR training classes are also available. From May 25 – June 9th take advantage of these public pools all 7 days of the week.
