Healthy Neighborhoods’ (HNI) Reinvest Baltimore Rate Savings program is a purchase-only loan product designed for homebuyers interested in purchasing recently renovated homes from HNI-approved developers within the boundaries of a “Healthy Neighborhood” and other authorized locations. This program, using funding from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, allows HNI to buy-down the interest rate on behalf of the borrower to below-market levels (currently 3.5%, subject to change at any time). No private mortgage insurance (PMI) is required.

PROGRAM BENEFIT

  • This program allows you to borrow money to buy your home.

ELIGIBILITY & LIMITATIONS

  • You must live in this home as your primary residence.
  • Only select properties are eligible (i.e., formerly vacant properties located within a Vacancy Reduction Priority Geography).
  • You must contribute 3% of the purchase price.
  • Minimum credit score of 620.
  • Maximum loan amount of $375,000.
  • No private mortgage insurance required.
  • You must qualify for a mortgage through HNI’s loan program.
