Who is Live Baltimore?

Live Baltimore is a nonprofit organization that fights the persistent and devastating population loss that began in Baltimore City in the 1950s and which has destabilized neighborhoods and hindered families’ abilities to build wealth through homeownership. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work citywide to grow Baltimore’s economy by attracting residents, retaining residents, and supporting healthy housing markets. Each year, Live Baltimore provides thousands of individuals with information on the city’s 250+ neighborhoods, rental living options, homebuying incentive programs, historic tax credits, and more. Why are we conducting this survey?

Live Baltimore works to bring great neighbors to communities across Baltimore City. In order to identify and appeal to other likely homebuyers, it is important that we understand what factors most influence current consumers who choose Baltimore City, its neighborhoods, and homes.

How was I selected to participate?

Your address was identified as being recently purchased by the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation. Your passcode is unique to your address. You may respond to the survey only once and your passcode should not be shared.

Are responses confidential?

Yes! No personally identifying information will be publicized. You can refuse to answer any question.

What are the odds of winning a participation incentive?

Odds of winning a participation incentive depend on our survey response rate. Surveys were distributed to no more than 13,109 households. Odds of winning our grand prize is therefore 1 in 13,109 or better. Odds of winning a secondary prize is therefore 1 in 1,311 or better. All respondents who request a bumper sticker will receive one.

How will participation incentive winners be notified?

Live Baltimore will contact winners by phone and/or email after the survey has closed (no later than 7/31/2025).

If I lack computer access, can I complete the survey by phone?

Yes! If you lack computer access or need assistance completing the survey, please call 410-637-3750. Our staff will assist you in completing the survey by phone.

Is the survey available in languages other than English?
