What I love most about my child's school
Thomas Johnson has been an incredible school for my children. The teachers and staff are incredible and I know they are committed to making the school the best it can be. Many of the parents at TJ are involved in the life of the school. The PTO has grown by leaps and bounds in the years that we have been a part of the school. We have a wonderful Fall Festival every year that brings the entire neighborhood out for a great day of games, activities and food. In the Spring, our Health & Wellness Fair again draws the community together for opportunities to learn about health living. At the end of the school year, our Annual Bull Roast allows parents the opportunity to get together sans children and celebrate together. We have developed great partnerships with many neighborhood businesses, organizations & churches. Thomas Johnson is striving to make the neighborhood school the center of the neighborhood here in South Baltimore.
To another parent considering this school
If you are considering TJ for your child I would encourage you to come visit. There are Open House events several times a year which are hosted by the Administrative Staff at the school. If you are out of zone, I also strongly recommend finding out about the waiting list and getting on it as soon as you are able.
