Through a special partnership with the Maryland MVA, you can proudly display your pride for Baltimore City with our I (Heart) City Life license plates!

For only $60, you can proudly display your love for our city. This includes a tax-deductible $30 gift to Live Baltimore that you pay through the form below, and the MVA fee of $30 that you submit with your application form.

Your $30 gift benefits Live Baltimore and supports our promotion of Baltimore City’s residential neighborhoods and allows us to tell the real story of city life.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Fill out and submit the form below.
  2. Once processed, Live Baltimore will send you a signed MVA application form to complete (within 5-10 days).
  3. Mail or deliver the application to the MVA Glen Burnie location with the required $30 processing fee.
  4. Wait for your plates to be delivered to you in the mail (typically 2-8 weeks) and start showing off your City pride! Please note that if you deliver your application in person, you’ll receive your plates on the same day. Make sure to call (410) 768-7000 before you go to confirm the plates are in stock.
  5. Once you’ve installed your new “I (Heart) City Life” tags, make sure to return your old plates to any full-service MVA. Don’t forget to notify/update your insurance and/or your E-ZPass account with your new plate number.

The MVA issues the plates and assigns the plate number. You are not able to request a specific number.

Each plate has four numerical digits. Only numbers can be used on these license plates, and there can be no personalization for organization specialty plates. You will receive the next available plate number.

When you receive your new “I (Heart) City Life” plate, you will also receive new stickers with the same expiration date currently on your existing plates.

Yes, you can transfer the plates to your new car.

No, you have to buy the plates and use them on your car.
