Meet the Principal

Principal Danielle Davis is the principal of Thomas Jefferson Elementary Middle School. As head of the Hunting Ridge area school, she says she looks forward to preparing her scholars with academic and emotional resources to become respectful, responsible and productive citizens of the world. “My favorite part of this work is having a direct connection to students that are the future leaders of our country,” she said. “I have the opportunity to lead them in the right direction and provide them with guidance so they become successful in life.”

Prior to taking the lead at Thomas Jefferson Elementary Middle School in 2017, Davis served as a teacher at William Paca Elementary School and as assistant principal at Harford Heights Elementary School, Margaret Brent Elementary Middle School and North Bend Elementary Middle School. Davis initially worked in the corporate world in New York City but her career was unfulfilling so she moved to Maryland to start teaching. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University and a master’s in education from the Johns Hopkins University. “[Moving] was the best decision I ever made,” Davis said. “I enjoy changing the lives of children and supporting them to achieve their goals.”
