WNADA LNYW is a homebuying grant program funded by WNADA. Grants are open to full-time, benefits-eligible employees of one of the employers listed below who purchase a home within the 21217 and 21216 ZIP codes of Baltimore City.

Baltimore City matches employers’ contributions between $1,000 and $2,500 in the form of a grant. The total amount of assistance depends on the employer’s participation. To get started, complete homeownership counseling from a City-approved counseling agency and contact your employer’s benefits administrator.

ELIGIBILITY & LIMITATIONS

  • You must earn a homeownership counseling certificate from a City-approved counseling agency before making an offer on your home. This certificate is awarded only after you complete a homeownership workshop AND a counseling session. *Homeownership certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of completion.
  • You must live in this home as your primary residence, as defined by the state of Maryland, for a period of at least 5 years from the date of settlement.
  • You must contribute at least $1,000 of your own money to your home purchase.
  • Your employer must participate in this program.
  • ALL applicants MUST use Druid Heights CDC approval to receive funding.
  • Your mortgage amount cannot exceed $667,000 for a single-family home.
  • You must apply and be approved prior to closing on your home. Program funds are not retroactive.
  • Fixed-rate mortgages only. Co-signers, cash sales, no-document loans, interest-only loans, and owner-financing are not permitted.
  • Only one WNADA LNYW grant may be used per eligible address.
  • Applying for a grant does not guarantee a grant or approval.
  • WNADA LNYW grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis; approval & disbursement of funds is contingent upon the timely receipt of required documents and remaining availability of funds.
