Greektown

Greektown is a blue-collar neighborhood in Southeast Baltimore where blue-and-white Greek flags commonly adorn porch-front rowhouses. The traditionally Greek neighborhood has recently welcomed Hispanic immigrants leading to a mix of new businesses opening along its main business corridor of Eastern Avenue. Longtime Greek staples like Samos, Ikaros and Akropolis Restaurants and Zorba's Bar & Grill stand alongside newer eateries, but residents of all backgrounds continue to enjoy the annual Greek Festival at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church each June.
