Lake Walker ZIP codes: 21212
Lake Walker is a charming, affordable, beautiful neighborhood with an active community association. Located on the northern boundary of the city, just east of York Road, with its quiet, tree-lined streets, Lake Walker also includes the area known as Chinquapin Hollow on the even side of Chinquapin Parkway, overlooking the Chinquapin stream valley. In 1900, most of what is now Lake Walker was part of the Fisher Farm. There were a few rather grand homes along Walker Avenue and York Road. At that time Lake Avenue extended no further eastward than York Road. The first major development was York Road in the late 20s, featuring two styles of cottages along Cedarcroft, Hollen and Highwood.

What I love most about my neighborhood
I enjoy the dining and entertaining options. I also like that it close to other cities with more options, such as NYC and DC. I like that Baltimore is affordable. Baltimore's quirky nature is also appealing to me.
What brought me here
I was born here, but moved away for over ten years. Then decided to move back because my family is here.
